Kathy Swain
Event Specialist
Originally from Texas, Kathy is the newest member at Dish & Design. Kathy moved to Charleston from Houston after Hurricane Harvey and fell in love with the city and her now husband Glynn. She worked in the corporate world before truly finding her passion in the Catering industry in 2005 with Eddie Deen & Co Catering. Meeting with the clients and bringing their vision to life is what she enjoys the most. Every day is a different day in our industry, different menu, venue, client and it keeps everything exciting and fun.
Kathy has catered events for 5-10 people all the way up to 12,000 people on the Austin state lawn at a Governors inauguration. Mentoring an inner city youth group from Carter High School in Dallas was one of her favorite times with EDC, teaching her kids skills that would allow them to be able to work while going to college was truly inspiring. When not at work, Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband Glynn either at the beach, gardening, listening to music or cooking.
